Welcome to the Helmsman, a site dedicated to providing resources for Christian school leaders and those who are committed to seeing young people grow into adulthood with a Christian worldview.

The connection between school leaders and the leadership concept of being a helmsman is based on the Greek word kybernetes, which was used in the first century to refer to an administrator or to the pilot of a ship.

The creator of this website is Dr. Kenneth S. Coley, who has been an educator for over thirty years. He would like to share a number of resources with you and would like for you to attend one of his speaking engagements or classes at Southeastern Seminary, located in Wake Forest, NC.
